Information

As the only botanical garden in the city of Ansan, the Ansan Botanical Garden is establishing itself as a place where local residents can learn about horticulture and students can learn about nature. Located in the Eunseong Lake Park, the garden provides easy access to the natural ecosystem in the urban environment. The theme garden in connection with the Seongho Memorial Hall, Danwon Sculptural Park, and Nojeokbong waterfall is loved by visitors.
The Tropical Garden is home to tropical plants and palm trees, while the Middle Region Hall features Korean wild flowers found in the middle part of the country, such as Jingyeongsansu (beautiful nature) and Iris. The Southern Region Hall is home to wetland plants and edible plants.

Located in Seongho park, Ansan Botanical Garden provides citizens with easy access to the natural ecosystem in the urban environment. The pyramid shaped garden is intriguing for visitors. The garden, which is free for visitors, consists of three exhibition gardens, one each for the Tropical, Middle Region, and Southern Region.

Tropical Garden
The garden displays 3,000 types of tropical plants including palm trees, herbaceous flowers, and cactus, and also features a watermill aquarium and beetles. As the garden is home to rare tropical plants, insects, and fish, it is a great attraction for children and families.

Middle Region Garden
Visitors can enjoy the wild flowers that grow in the middle part of Korea at the Middle Region Garden. During the winter, the garden is home to dormant plants waiting for the new spring to arrive. Notably, the garden features jingyeongsansu, fragrant thyme, web baisul, beautiful Siberian chrysanthemum, and rare T. caespitosa.

Southern Region Garden
The garden grows wild flowers found in the Southern part of Korea. During the winter, the garden features 16,000 types of dormant plants and trees. It is also home to a lake, water lilies, fragrant trees, wetland plants and edible plants. As the garden is located in Seongho Park, you can also visit Seongho Park or nearby Nojeokbong waterfall park.
